Introductory Paragraph(:

In the poem "I, Too, Sing America" by Langston Hughes, the speaker's resentful determination reflect his hatred for people discriminating against African Americans.  He resents the people for metaphorically, 'sending him to eat in the kitchen.' The speaker is confident about the changes that will happen in America, and that the people who treated him badly will get what they deserve and feel ashamed.

  1. Honestly, I don't think the people are metaphorically sending him to eat in the kitchen.
They really made him leave the room when company came.
MamaLena, MamaLena, MamaLena told me so. :)
